When you plant your baskets, pack the starts closely. The basket will have a fuller, lusher feel. Plus, it creates a protective barrier around the soil and roots. Drying of the soil, is the number one cause of failure in hanging baskets. Fertilize once a week during the season, using a combination soil and foliar feed.
