Tip of the Week

Fall and winter are a great time to grow crisp, bright green lettuces. You can use anything for a planter: a barrel, windowbox, pots, even an old wheelbarrow. Fill your chosen container with a nice layer of gravel and add your soil. Water well and plant your seeds. Use a variety of the tinier lettuces for instant salad, on cold dreary days!
