Tip of the Week

When buying annuals, choose short, stocky, dark green plants without any flowers on them.

Large plants in full bloom do not transplant as well as smaller plants. They have become more established and don`t easily adapt to new conditions. When removing the plants from their containers, don`t be afraid to break the rootmass apart. It will stimulate these small starters into better, stronger growth.

For hanging baskets, pack the plants in. Impatiens in particular, look much better when packed in closely!
