Is softened water safe for my plants?

Water Tip

Use only drinking water for indoor plants. If you have a water softener, use only water that is NOT connected to it. (Most kitchens are plumbed so that the cold water bypasses the water softener.) Water from the softener often has too much salt in it and excess salt kills plants.
