The successful feng-shui garden has a sense of balance to it. There should be reflective surfaces - a pond or gazing ball, even a mirror. Wandering paths should flow from one area to the next. "Doorways" should beckon one through into the area just beyond. These can be overarching trees, a pillar element or a gate.
